Description
In winter, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, can be one of the harshest places on earth. Temperatures can easily dip to below -30 degrees and the landscape is a frozen masterpiece waiting for brave visitors and photographers alike. This image was captured in Hayden Valley at the beginning of a clearing storm of frozen fog.

Silent and solitary vigil. This creates a bit of a lonely feeling to my sense. Well done capture and composition Sandra! V/Twt/Pamela ○>~~~》}}}}

I'm not that crazy about winter but I sure do like the tones and especially the light in this one. Very striking. This is one of my two Picks of the Day in the Best of Minimalism in Photography group for December 8.
