This iconic valley lies between Chama, New Mexico and Antonito, Colorado, the route taken by the fabled Chama-Toltec railroad. Built in 1880, the track between Antonito, CO and Chama, NM was part of the San Juan Extension of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. The decline of silver mining in the 1890s ended the railroad's vital role.
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements.
