Sedona is a small city that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley of Arizona.
Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails, Being relatively temperate, snowstorms usually last a few hours and then are gone. This storm presented several days of photographic opportunity.

Stunning capture, Sandra! Love the combination of snow and desert, a scene I don't see very often. Early February I was at the Grand Canyon taking photos but did not have the chance to stop at Sedona. Grateful you got a spectacular shot to share with fellow artists and your customers.... this is a beauty! F/L
