Description
2014 Sandra Bronstein Photography. All Rights Reserved. Two historical and picturesque barns highlight Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park, Jackson, Wyoming. Settlers John and Thomas Alma Moulton built these barns on adjacent homesteads. After nearly 30 years of working the land, John replaced his log home and barn with a new carpenter-constructed, pink stucco frame house this impressive, two-story gambrel barn north of Antelope Flats Road. This barn, located south of John's homestead, Thomas Alma. took over thirty years to build his gable-with-shed style barn. Today, photographers from around the world stop by T. A. Moulton's barn to capture this iconic historic structure with the Grand Tetons in the background. This particular day, a severe thunderstorm rolled through the Teton Range with extremely high winds. A magpie sat calmly up on the high gate to the pen watching people scatter to their cars in an effort to escape the oncoming rains. For just seconds, the clouds parted long enough for this one frame image to be captured.
