A typical Big Sky, Montana afternoon with gathering clouds and increasing winds created the wonderful atmosphere for this solitary barn. The open door was intriguing but I didn't approach. The wonderful, weathered wood had at one time been painted the iconic red but time and weather had removed all but the last few remaining paint strokes. I couldn't help but photograph the barn even in the light rain.
