Christine Falls is a waterfall on Van Trump Creek in Pierce County, Washington. The falls are 69 feet high and are best known for having a bridge spanning the lower drop. The upper drop is 32 feet high and is almost impossible to film in tandem with the oft-photographed 37-foot lower tier. The lower tier is probably one of the most commonly photographed locations in the Mount Rainier area.
The falls were named in honor of Christine Van Trump, the daughter of P. B. Van Trump. In 1889 Christine, who was nine years old, accompanied her father on an ascent of Mount Rainier, as far as her strength would allow. She made it to the 10,000-foot level, even though she had a crippling nervous disorder. -Wikipedia-
About Sandra Bronstein
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements. Her vision provides a window into the ever changing world and, simply put, Sandra has captured and shares with us a simple moment in time. Sandra was raised and continues to reside in large metropolitan cities but has always had a love of nature and wilderness. It was due, in part, to family travels and being an "outdoor" girl which kept her love strong for wildlife and the environment. That love and respect shows in each...
