A late spring snowstorm arrived in Grand Teton National Park in mid-May leaving the trees and ground covered with a few inches of wet snow. Running in her previous haunts, the grizzly bear, known as Blondie, was spotted perusing the area for food with triplets. The three cubs are not "coy" or "cubs of the year" but rather yearlings. Blondie had not been spotted the previous year and now, the reason is obvious.
A far ranging predator the grizzly bear can travel miles in one day and has little or no tolerance for other bears and humans. One must exercise extreme caution when in bear country for they are wild animals and unpredictable. Fewer animals are more dangerous than a bear with cubs. She is standing up to survey the surroundings as she may smell a black bear boar who was nearby and to check on her third cub who is hiding behind some bushes. When bears stand on their hind legs it is a sign of fear and alarm.

It is with pride and pleasure that I chose your artwork to be FEATURED on our homepage of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group. Your artwork is very worthy of being featured in our group and for other artists to see and appreciate. Also it is good exposure for your art to be shown to prospective buyers, as it is of the high quality that people are looking for. Randy "Elvis" Rosenberger (admin. of WFS group)
