This intriguing set of stone steps and ladders leads to a well hidden kiva in Bandalier National Monument. It is a strenuous climb as there is one more ladder which sharply turns at the top of the image and continues upward. It is a climb well worth the effort to actually sit in the Kiva which the Indians deemed so very special to their culture.

Thanks Lenore and Spencer. I love this area and it is amazing to climb to the top and into the Kiva - you really understand its magic.

I like this. It really shares culture and history. Very nice capture and works wonderfully in black & white.

This is indeed a sacred space. You have done it justice here. What a gorgeous rendition. I like that there are no people in this photo. Instant V/F.
