The Great Gallery, or sometimes referred to as the Great Ghost, is located in a very remote unit of Canyonlands National Park in Utah. There are numerous panels of rock art but the Great Gallery is the best known and the most visited.
Once you arrive at this location, a small metal box with paper and a pencil inside begs for your thoughts. It is amazing how many people find a special, if not spiritual, peace while viewing the prehistoric leaders whose messages and presence by way of painting still have the power to move us. It is a rather un-earthly feeling to view these large drawings from just feet away. There is, most assuredly, a presence that exists here. It is well worth the rather arduous hike down into the canyon to behold this site.
