This image was shot the morning after a huge rainstorm swept through the valley and the area flooded. As a result, a beautiful reflection was possible but the roads, impassable in most areas.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park shares a border with both Arizona and Utah. It is home to many of the Navajo nation and much of the land is off-limits to the casual tourist as many parts of the Tribal Park are considered to be of great spiritual significance to the inhabitants.
