Mount Moran, as reflected at Oxbow Bend, is one of the most photographed areas of the Grand Teton Mountain Range in northwestern Wyoming, This beautiful and iconic area offers up mirror reflections any time of year. This beautiful mountain, standing proud at 12,605 ft. is named for Thomas Moran, an American western landscape artist who made it famous in early paintings of this area. Mount Moran dominates the northern section of the Teton Range rising 6,000 feet above Jackson Lake. The Skillet Glacier is prominent on the east face as is the readily identified basalt intrusion known as the Black Dike.
