During one of my earliest winter trips to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, many years ago, it became quickly apparent how the inhabitants of this park suffer during the winter months. This small herd of bison began to gather together as the weather declined with but a small stream for water and the food source buried at least 2 feet below the ground. Bison swing their heads back and forth to uncover the food source using priceless energy to survive. Out of range in this image were several young bison who were barely tall enough to move.
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements.
