This wonderful sow, Blondie by name, all but disappeared from Grand Teton National Park last year. Her noticeable absence brought much consternation among the regular bear watches in the area. But, spring arrives this year and so does Blondie, back to her favorite haunt, but with three yearling cubs in tow.
Grizzlies are very territorial but their range can cover 100 miles or more. This particular sow was bothered by a very large black bear in the area and to protect her cubs, gathered them up and off they went not to be seen for another several days.
