Thanks for posting to the ROCKS Group Sandra. This is the first, and only, photo I have for the Devil's Tower. It is an amazing laccolith formation and geologists don't all agree as to how it was formed.

This amazing monolith rises over 1,200 feet from the surrounding area with a summit reaching 5,112 feet above sea level. A formidable challenge to climbers to say the least. This area is still sacred to the American Indians who frequently leave items and memorabilia in nearby trees in memory of those gone before.

About Sandra Bronstein

Sandra Bronstein

Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements. Her vision provides a window into the ever changing world and, simply put, Sandra has captured and shares with us a simple moment in time. Sandra was raised and continues to reside in large metropolitan cities but has always had a love of nature and wilderness. It was due, in part, to family travels and being an "outdoor" girl which kept her love strong for wildlife and the environment. That love and respect shows in each...
