Arches National Park, located outside Moab, Utah is a wonderland of red rock, blue skies and green sagebrush. This national park is a wonderland of mysterious formations, mainly arches, as the name indicates. This particular formation is called "The Windows" section due to the many arches located within the formation itself. The enormity of the arches is brought to life when one hikes underneath the openings looking several stories upwards into the formation. It is quite deceiving from the road but as one approaches the sandstone rocks, the size and stature of these formations takes on a life of its own. Being located in the high desert of northeast Utah, sagebrush dots the landscape and desert creatures are in abundance during the warmer seasons.
