In Montana winter comes early but it does not alter the way of the die hard cowboys and ranchers who still need to tend to the ranches and farms they own. The horses they ride are often the only companions they will have for hours on end as they ride the acres and acres of land which is their heritage and hope for the future. Despite the wintery conditions, this cowboy, takes a moment of pause to let his tired companion rest from the tiring ride through the deep snow. He seems to have found an area heavily traveled by the herds of cows and steers allowing for some relief. The snow was heavy and wet and this brief respite from the elements and the weight of a rider and saddle seems most welcome. A short sigh of relief can be seen as the horse exhales and drops his head a bit to stretch.
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements. Her vision provides a window into the ever changing world and, simply put, Sandra has captured and shares with us a simple moment in time. Sandra was raised and continues to reside in large metropolitan cities but has always had a love of nature and wilderness. It was due, in part, to family travels and being an "outdoor" girl which kept her love strong for wildlife and the environment. That love and respect shows in each...

Love this - the desolation and the big snow flakes matching the dappled gray horse. Awesome work! v/f
