In the early spring, the snows begin to melt and Yosemite National Park, California, begins to awaken to the greet the new season. The many waterfalls within the borders of the park, including the Upper Falls of Yosemite begin to flow heavily with the snowmelt and the Merced River fills to it banks. This morning the river was glasslike offering up this mirror reflection of the Upper Falls in its waters. 2013 has proven to be one of the driest years on record for this high Sierra park with little snowfall. Hopefully spring rains will do the trick.
