Bodie Historical State Park, in Caifornia, is one of the finest preserved ghost towns. It's mysterious history regarding the disappearance of its inhabitants is often discussed. The buildings are in an arrested state of decay but much is to be found for the photographer, historian or visitor who wanders through the remaining and fascinating architecture.
